Member Selection Criteria

The District will consider applications both individually and collectively to create an Advisory Committee representing a broad cross-section of the Paramount Unified community. 

The final group will seek representation from: 

• Parents/guardians and students 
• Certificated and classified employees 
• District and bargaining unit representatives 
• Community members and residents 
• Business and community partners 
• Elementary, middle, and high school communities 
• Different schools and geographic areas of the District 
• A range of experiences, backgrounds, and perspectives 

The goal is not for any one school, neighborhood, employee group, or viewpoint to dominate the conversation, but to bring together people who can contribute different perspectives to this important work. 

Applicants will not be selected based on whether they currently support or oppose school consolidation, reconfiguration, attendance boundary changes, or other potential options. 

No decisions have been made. 

The District is seeking Advisory Committee members who are willing to examine information, consider community input, ask thoughtful questions, and work together to help inform recommendations about the future of Paramount Unified schools.
