2nd Annual AANHPI Celebration – Power in Unity!

2nd Annual AANHPI Celebration – Power in Unity!

What an incredible and joyful celebration we experienced on May 16, 2026, at Lincoln Elementary! Paramount Unified School District's, 2nd Annual Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Celebration truly brought our community together in the spirit of this year’s central theme: “Power in Unity.” Student leadership was on full display throughout the event, with student board members serving as engaging emcees and ASB volunteers helping ensure a smooth, welcoming, and enjoyable experience for all.

From the moment families arrived, the campus was buzzing with excitement, laughter, and pride. With an amazing turnout, the event was filled with fun, hands-on activities for all ages—including a haiku contest that highlighted student creativity, face painting, free book giveaways, ukulele lessons, and interactive Spam musubi making were just a few of the highlights that kept everyone engaged and smiling.

The stage came alive with a dynamic and inspiring lineup of performances that celebrated the richness and diversity of AANHPI cultures. Our talented students and performers wowed the audience with:

  • Student performances including Samoan siva, Filipino tinikling, K-pop, Chinese dragon dance with fans, and an adorable preschool hula

  • Powerful cultural showcases such as the Māori haka, energizing Taiko drumming, elegant traditional Cambodian dance, and a spectacular Chinese lion dance

Adding to the festive atmosphere, vendors offered a variety of delicious foods and refreshing drinks, making it a true celebration of culture through both performance and cuisine.

The excitement continued with a crowd-favorite raffle, featuring fantastic prizes including gift cards, gift baskets, and even TWO bicycles—a thrilling moment for our lucky winners!

This event was a shining example of what makes Paramount USD so special—community, culture, and connection. We are deeply grateful to our generous partners for helping bring this unforgettable celebration to life:

Thank you to all the families, students, staff, and community members who joined us—your energy and participation truly demonstrated the Power in Unity! We cannot wait to celebrate with you again next year!
