Buena Vista High School Celebrates the Class of 2026

Buena Vista High School celebrated the Class of 2026 on June 2 at Paramount High School Stadium, honoring graduates from both its traditional in-person and independent study programs. The ceremony featured student speakers, district leaders, and family members who gathered to recognize a class whose journey to graduation often required extraordinary perseverance and determination. Graduates shared messages of resilience and hope, while Superintendent Dr. Joshua Lightle encouraged students to "Live Your Dash: Make Every Moment Count."

For many Buena Vista students, earning a diploma represents the successful completion of a path filled with challenges that extended far beyond academics. Students often arrive at Buena Vista after experiencing interruptions in their education, significant life circumstances, or a need for a smaller and more personalized learning environment. Through individualized support, small class sizes, advisory programs, counseling services, social-emotional supports, and dedicated staff, students are provided with the tools, encouragement, and accountability needed to remain focused on their goals. Buena Vista's unique quarter-based system also allows students to concentrate on fewer courses at a time while steadily progressing toward graduation.

The Paramount Unified School District proudly congratulates the Buena Vista High School Class of 2026. Their stories are reminders that success is not measured by the obstacles encountered, but by the courage shown in overcoming them. The resilience, growth, and determination demonstrated by these graduates reflect the very best of the Buena Vista community. As they begin the next chapter of their lives, they carry with them the confidence, skills, and strength developed through their journey. We salute their accomplishments and look forward to the many successes that lie ahead. Graduation ceremonies were led by Principal Ebony Jordan and supported by the dedicated Buena Vista team of teachers, counselors, administrators, and support staff who work each day to help students realize their potential.
