Odyssey STEM Academy Celebrates Back-to-Back District Teachers of the Year

Marianne Leon represents Paramount Unified at the Los Angeles County Teachers of the Year Celebration, continuing a tradition of teaching excellence at Odyssey STEM Academy.

Paramount Unified School District proudly celebrated Marianne Leon, its 2026 Teacher of the Year, at the Los Angeles County Teachers of the Year Celebration on Friday, September 25, 2026, in Universal City. The annual event, hosted by the Los Angeles County Office of Education, brought together outstanding educators from across the county to recognize their dedication, leadership, and contributions to student success.

Marianne Leon's recognition marks an exciting milestone for Odyssey STEM Academy (OSA), which has produced Paramount Unified's Districtwide Teacher of the Year for two consecutive years. Following the 2025 recognition of Nicole Bottomley, Leon continues a tradition of educational excellence that reflects OSA's commitment to innovative instruction, meaningful student relationships, and preparing students for future success. Together, these educators exemplify the dedication and high-quality teaching that distinguish the Odyssey STEM Academy community.

Joining Leon at the celebration were Board of Education Member Alicia Anderson; Superintendent Joshua L. Lightle, Ed.D.; Assistant Superintendents Linsey Gotanda, Ed.D., and Pamela Salgado; and Odyssey STEM Academy Principal Alicia Megofna. Their attendance reflected the collective commitment to supporting excellence in teaching and learning. Paramount Unified congratulates Marianne Leon and celebrates the entire Odyssey STEM Academy community on this remarkable achievement.
