OSA Seniors Share Their Next Steps in Heartfelt May Day Celebration

Odyssey STEM Academy’s annual May Day celebration filled the campus with cheers, flowers, and proud moments as the Class of 2026 shared their next steps after graduation. Beginning at 10 a.m. on May 15, seniors, families, teachers, and underclassmen gathered together to celebrate college acceptances, military enlistments, and future career plans.

Led by teacher Angelica Garcia and interpreted by Pedro, the program featured student speeches from each OSA advisory before seniors were called to the stage one by one alongside the schools and pathways they selected for the fall. Excitement echoed throughout the room as classmates and families celebrated each announcement.

One of the most heartfelt moments came at the close of the ceremony. Before the event, each senior had been asked to quietly select one adult in attendance who had supported and inspired them throughout their journey. After all students had crossed the stage and returned to their seats, Angelica Garcia invited seniors to now “find your adult” and present them with the bouquets they received earlier in the program. In an instant, the atmoshphere was filled with hugs, smiles, tears, and applause as students thanked the parents, teachers, mentors, and loved ones who helped guide them to this milestone moment.
