Paramount Students Earn Top 10 National Honors at FCCLA National Leadership Conference

Paramount Unified School District is proud to celebrate the outstanding accomplishments of 23 students who represented Paramount at the FCCLA National Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C., this summer.

Competing against some of the top FCCLA members from across the nation, Paramount students participated in a wide range of competitive events, including Entrepreneurship, Professional Presentation, Public Policy Advocate, Sports Nutrition, Impromptu Speaking, Interviewing Skills, Speak Out for FCCLA, and Pastry Arts and Technical Decorating.

Eight students representing four competitive teams earned Top 10 finishes at the national level, including:

  • Dayana Ruiz

These national honors represent an incredible achievement and reflect the dedication, preparation, and professionalism of our students. From researching and developing their projects to practicing and refining their presentations, these students demonstrated the skills and determination needed to compete at the highest level.

The conference offered students opportunities to do more than compete. While in Washington, D.C., students participated in leadership and networking workshops, served as voting delegates, and explored significant landmarks including the Lincoln Memorial and Washington Monument. These experiences allowed students to strengthen their leadership skills, expand their perspectives, and build lasting memories with their peers.

The District is proud of these students for representing Paramount with excellence and grateful to the educators, families, and supporters who helped make this experience possible.

Their success is a powerful example of how Career Technical Education (CTE) opportunities help students develop confidence, leadership, communication, and career-ready skills that extend well beyond the classroom.
