Paramount Unified School District is proud to highlight the exceptional opportunities made possible through the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELO-P), which provides students with enriching, hands-on learning experiences beyond the traditional school day.

This weekend, fifth-grade and eighth-grade students will embark on an unforgettable adventure to the Pali Institute, a renowned outdoor science camp nestled in the San Bernardino Mountains. Designed to spark curiosity and build confidence, the Pali Institute immerses students in a blend of science, leadership development, and outdoor education.

During their stay, students will engage in environmental science labs, team-building challenges, and guided outdoor exploration. These activities are intentionally crafted to strengthen critical-thinking skills, promote collaboration, and inspire a deeper appreciation for the natural world.

For many students, this experience also represents their first time away from home—an important step in building independence and forming meaningful connections with peers.

Through ELO-P, Paramount Unified continues to expand access to academic support, enrichment opportunities, and memorable experiences like Pali Institute that help students grow as learners and leaders.
