PUSD to Celebrate AANHPI Heritage Month with Community Celebration at Lincoln School

Join us for PUSD’s 2nd Annual AANHPI Heritage Month Celebration on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Lincoln School!

Hosted by Climate, Culture, and Equity & ELO-P, this year’s theme, Power in Unity: Strengthening Communities Together, celebrates the vibrant cultures, histories, and contributions of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders in Paramount and beyond.

The celebration will feature live professional and student performances, cultural crafts and hands-on activities, delicious refreshments, raffle prizes, informational resources, and free fun for kids and families.

As part of this special event, all PUSD students are encouraged to participate in the districtwide AANHPI Haiku Contest and showcase their creativity through poetry.

All entries will be showcased at the May 16 districtwide celebration.

Through your poem, students are encouraged to reflect on culture, identity, community, diversity, and the spirit of unity.
